The most challenging part of the run, I have to say, was boredom. I shouldn't have expected anything more. After all, Pudong's concrete suburbia doesn't really lend itself to nice scenery.

The Jinqiao 8km run
Yaaaay, I made it!
The 8km race went swimmingly on Sunday morning, and I was left with a nice feeling of achievement after crossing the finish line. I came 159th in the race, and completed the run in about 48 minutes. A bit slower than I was hoping, but I'm just glad I didn't collapse.

And here are my fellow runners... Phil, Weiwei, John and Helen (who just asked me to train for a half marathon in November!). Next time, we'll get Brett to lace up and run too.
